MAP Individual
Students have been presented with a completely new learning environment requiring a fundamentally different educational approach for them to succeed.
Right now, students have the option of a variety of different learning environments, online, hybrid and in-person. Students who haven’t developed skills such as goal setting, task management, resilience and self-advocacy, or are lacking the mentorship and guidance to turn their passions into a career pathway are left feeling stranded, unprepared and without support.
Our MAP Individual Academic and Social/Emotional Coaching can help! MAP Virtual Staff will assist students in developing critical self-direction skills and guide them in turning their passions into career pathways.

What makes MAP Individual unique?
Support and Accountability
Life Coaches work weekly with students to evaluate and monitor academic progress and promote social-emotional awareness.
In addition they help students explore their passions and interests, developing possible career pathways.
Coaches connect students to the resources that they need to be successful.
Coaches work with students to develop life skills; task management, self-advocacy and direction, resilience, etc...
Hand-in-hand with parents, Life Coaches stand alongside students to make sure they find a successful approach to their academic year, while encouraging them to follow their dreams.
Team and Family Meetings
Each month, or more often if needed, the Life Coach will meet with the family and other Peak Education team members to surround the student with additional support.
During these powerful and transformative meetings, coaches set and hold the space for students and parents or guardians to move through difficult processes. From basic communication about goals and dreams to serious discussions on next steps for college and careers, these meetings engage a larger circle of support for the students.

Passions, Interests, College, Career Pathways
Students are paired with coaches based on their passions and interests. This allows the students and coaches to connect on a level deeper than just academics.
Through coach support, students will explore the education and experience needed to turn their passions into career pathways. Together, students and coaches will research what their potential career pathway offers; pay, working environment, hours, etc. Through a career pathway plan, students will be better able to choose relevant classes, prepare for concurrent enrollment, explore entrance into higher education programs and develop relationships with professionals already in the field.

A Peak Education Life Coach will reach out to your family to schedule a preliminary meeting. You will also be sent an intake survey to help us better understand your student and your families needs, challenges and strengths.
